Delivery Available-The Ugly Diner in Gulf Shores-Alabama

Best Restaurants in Gulf Shores-Alabama

The Ugly Diner

is the first option for delivery for all-day or dine-in at the Diner. Many travelers rave about how good their breakfast is, and I especially love the breakfast and dinner menus.

The Ugly Diner was once located near Tracky Jacks and The Brewery. They moved to a shopping center with cowbells, ice creme, China Dragon, and a Flower shop two blocks away.

Take a look at recent visitors’ reviews!

"I am thrilled to have found this restaurant! My family and I are basically locals of Gulf Shores but will be making the drive to OB often for the grits and omelets. Our waiter, Chad, was fantastic and made sure we always had what we needed. 10/10 will be back!"
"This place is a hidden gem! Simple and quaint yet delicious and welcoming! The breakfast is spot on. Those cheese grits may be some of the best I’ve had… and I am a grits expert just saying. Our server Chad was hospitable, prompt, and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE! Go get yourself something today! Preferably with cheese grits"
"My husband said it was by far the best Reuben he has ever had. I had the chicken salad melt which was just ok, the fries we both had were very good. Next time we would both order the half sandwich and fries as you get plenty, prices are good. Will go back again, recommend to others"

Crico’s Pizza & Subs

Crico's Pizza & Subs

Pizza lovers, can dine, carry out, or deliver while enjoying their stay in the Gulf Shores of Alabama. Read some of the good-rated reviews!

“Based on good reviews, we decided to try Crico’s for lunch on a Tuesday around 1:15 PM. Small interior with outdoor dining as well. Today was pizza buffet so the joint was jumpin’. We opted to try that as well. You cannot find a better bargain than salad, pizza, pasta, dessert pizza & a drink for $7.99 each. Found a table quickly & made our salad. Just the basic ingredients & not much choice of dressings, but it was good. Pizza options were many. We loved the signs requesting patrons to use a new plate each time they returned. The Manager & maybe the owner, made their way throughout the restaurant many times making sure everyone had everything they needed. We asked for a sausage & pepperoni & in no time, it was out. Pepsi products are served here. An excellent bargain for a good lunch”

"Desert pizza with apple crisp.....totally outstanding......breadsticks with butter and parmesan.....again....totally outstanding......price for 2 people....17.89 total cost...they offer buffet and a la Corte selection.....totally clean and organized has plenty of cheese and toppings....they have 7 or 8 selections on the pizza buffet.....salad....desert and drinks are all included.......lots of bang for the buck and food offered is very good....real tomatoes.....not those cherry ones.....wife and I are certainly going back and will recommend to anybody who will listen......."

“In town visiting family and they brought us subs from Crico’s. They were very good. We highly recommend them.”

“We always like to enjoy a slice of cheesecake. The problem we run into is more people do it wrong, rather than doing it right. I have to say that Hope’s Cheesecake was impressive and utterly delicious!

We got several different kinds of cheesecake slices to try and loved all of them. Their cheesecake is straight-up one of the best I have ever had: tasty, not too sweet, smooth, etc.

We cannot wait to head back to Gulf Shores because Hope’s will be on our list of stops!”

“Came across this gem by accident – so glad I went inside to check it out. The sampler was perfect to take back to our condo, a great way to try all their yummy flavors. We will be back for more.”

"As a cheesecake lover, I’m glad we found this place! There are endless options as far as flavors go. My family tried 6 different flavors and all were excellent. I had White Choc Raspberry, my family members had Butterfinger, Chocolate Marble, Key Lime, Oreo, and Choc Amaretto. The only reason for 4/5 stars is because there were a few flavors I wanted to try that weren’t available by the slice. We will definitely be back!!"

Sunset Cork Room

Sunset Cork Room

The Sunset Cork Room is an exciting new concept for the Gulf Coast. We offer unique wines from around the world, complemented by beautiful appetizers and exquisite desserts. Our resident Chef will have your mouth watering and our staff will have you relaxed and at ease. “A little off the beaten path”, the Cork Room is an excellent way to escape the typical beach fare and step into a more sophisticated, personal atmosphere. We’re also the perfect place to talk over plans with associates or meet up with friends. We offer live acoustic music, soft lighting, and stunning decor.

"Our party of four adults and one child ordered across the menu, chicken, lamb, pasta, and fish, all were excellent, as well as the recommended dessert bread pudding. The atmosphere and services were great!"

“We were a party of 7 and this can sometimes be a burden on a server, the kitchen, and the guest. Our service and meal were amazing. I am sorry I don’t have our server’s name but she was friendly, gave great suggestions, and was patient as we asked questions and made our decisions. The extensive wine list and high-quality wines. We had the Mahi, Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Steak, and an assortment of appetizers. Everything was cooked to perfection and came out at the same time! We actually got to meet the chef, Tina. Informative about our meal and the establishment. I’m sorry we do not live in the area as we won’t get back as often as we would like to.”

“When everything is done to a level of excellence, the review tends to be short. To receive fully professional treatment in a timely matter is one thing but the quality of the food and drinks was over the top. A perfect balance between service and quality. What their chefs can do with a steak is amazing. A great job is done by all.”

  2. Very informative! I would definitely have to try the Ugly Diner. With a name like that, it better be good 🙂 Of course Matt’s Homemade Alabama Ice Cream would be my second stop. Can’t beat good ice cream on a hot summer day! Hope’s Cheesecake sounds delicious as well. Happy Independence Day!

  3. This kind of website helps people to find out if they are visiting Alabama. High-quality, reasonably priced, and restaurants that can be loved by many. The manager checks in that people are doing well in their place and have enough stuff and using clean dishes every time. Dine-in or take-out options are fantastic and advantageous

How about a delicious and authentic piece of cheesecake, choose the kind you like. Most of us enjoy it.

The homemade ice cream? How about that on a summer day. Lovely video.

I loved the people’s review at the end of each restaurant. That truly helps.

  4. My wife and I have family down there and are planning a trip in a few weeks to visit. We were looking around for some great places to eat and found your site. Which restaurant would you recommend for date night for us after the in-laws and kids are asleep? Make sure there are drinks 😉 Lol. Cheers

  5. Pizza, salad, cheesecake, and ice cream. That makes it a tie between the main meal and the desert. All these eateries sounded worth trying out. You mentioned that they are on the gulf coast. How far from the water are they?

Food is always a good topic to discuss. If I was visiting this area I would definitely give these a try because you raised my curiosity.
